I have tutored children in Reading Comprehension for 3 years in Richmond Public Schools for Americorps at Virginia Commonwealth University. I am a member of the Nationql Scholars Honor Soceity and the American Sociological Association. I have completed fieldwork for the Center for Disease Control and the Virginia Tobacco Settlement Foundation in smoking among teenagers as an employee for Virginia Commonwealth University. I have completed an internship for the National Institutes of Health in the scope pf Hematology. In this study, I worked with pregnant female Swiss Webster mice to determine the erythrocyte population with weight gain.

I have been working at Hermitage High School in Henrico County as an English teacher for the past 4 years. I have taught 9th grade, but I have spent most of my time teaching 11th grade.
