Experience Summary
I have B.S. in Mass Communications from VCU and have worked as a journalist for many years. I have
also worked as an ESL tutor with Hispanic adults and children. I am a former Peace Corps volunteer,
who worked in the Domincan Republic implimenting educational and economic development projects in
small villages. I have most recently worked with the Richmond Public School system as a Title 1 Reading
and Writing tutor, which I enjoyed very much.
Teaching Style
I like to work with students one on one and use innovative methods and materials to make
the lessons come alive and interesting to the students.
My Hobbies
I enjoy traveling, reading, writing fiction, and exercising.
