Previously, while a member of the national honor society in high school I tutored many elementary and high school students in subjects such as math, science, and history.
In my experience, most students under perform in science and math due to the an inability to relate theses subjects to practical real life examples. A Little Bit About Me...

I would best describe my method of teaching as a give and take experience. Through diologue, I am able to lead the student through the thought process that will derive the correct answer. Giving bits of information can provoke a new approach to the task at hand. I also feel it is important to individualize each person being tutored, as everyone learns differently. Some learn best through the use of things such as pnuemonic devices, while others may need repitition to effectivily remember the material. Gaining knowledge is a passion of mine and sharing this information is something I truly enjoy.

I received a technology degree in 1975. Several years later I returned to college to persue a Physics/Mechanical Engineering Degree from SUNY New Paltz and RPI. I was an "A" student in Physics and enjoyed tutoring many classmates. I was a guest lecturer several times at RPI. Due to work and family commitments I did not complete the degree. My wife and I homeschooled our children through the primary grades. I taught sciences. While an Employee at IBM, I wrote and taight technical courses.
