Success is Feasible

I teach according to the student's learning style. I acknowledge that all students learn differently, and I excel at catering to visual, aural, and kinesthetic needs of students.
In 2011 to 2012 I worked as a lead tutor for Academic Achievers in Muncie. My core focus was to improve writing skills. I would help students organize their thoughts into a structured document, and on occasion I would help build their vocabulary with five words of the week. Currently, I work at the Muncie Children's Museum where I create programs for children to exercise their motor and critical thinking skills in the visual arts and music.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked as a music teacher for 10 years, and I spent one year working as a Title I paraprofessional. As a music teacher, my focus is on music literacy and appreciation. I strongly believe that every child has the right to a quality music education. As a Title I para, I worked with individual and small groups of K-6 students in the areas of reading, writing, and math.
A wonderful characteristic of music is that learning and experiencing music addresses all three main learning styles--visual, aural, and kinesthetic. Students enjoy my class, and it is wonderful to see what they remember long after they have been in my class.
