My freshman class at BYU had over 400 Chemical Engineering students. Sixteen of us graduated, the rest were 'weeded out'. I am just one class short of a BS in Chemistry, and but one class short of a minor in Physics and Norwegian. Electrical Engineering very much mentored my abilities in math, and I did get a minor in math from Utah State University. I have tutored a number of students in math, chemistry and physics, as well as a few in English literature and grammar.
I love teaching, and find helping others learn and understand very rewarding. My experience has taught me that many, if not most, learning problems are reflective of the teachers incomplete understanding of the subject they are trying to teach. A Little Bit About Me...

My degree in Civil Engineering pushed me hard to study math. I am not an excellent student in high school but an average student in all subjects. My desire to help my family from poverty motivates me to study hard especially math so that I could finish my degree. I learned a variety of areas in math which made me confident to work with the Department of Public Works and Highways in the Philippines. In addition, I taught RTI Math as an intervention to help students who have a very poor mathematical ability even in four basic math operations. I also taught Algebra 1 and Geometry to “At Risk students” in high school with very poor mathematical abilities and with behavioral problems. With my help, my kids excel in math in their school.
