I enjoy teaching children of all ages, particularly on a one-to-one basis. In addition, I learn from the children. I believe a child learns best through individual attention and the opportunity to have those "aha" moments. People of all ages can meet and exceed their potential. I began tutoring in the sixth grade. We did not have honor courses where I attended, so older students tutored younger students. In college I tutored many subjects to earn money for my tuition. After graduating, I worked in two different school systems as a remedial teacher. I even designed a new remedial reading and spelling program for the one school. From 1991-1998, I worked at a Christian elementary school, where I was a librarian, bookkeeper, and substitute teacher. I have also done private tutoring in Spelling, English, Composition, and Computer. I hold a Doctorate degree in Jurisprudence and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Oklahoma City University. I have five years middle and high school teaching experience with Rocky Mountain International Academy in Montrose, Colorado. I have taught the following subjects - Latin I, Latin II, Latin III, U.S. History, Colorado History, Great Books, Civics, Economics, Rhetoric, Debate, Drama, Computer Spreadsheets, and Business.
