A Little Bit About Me...

As one who received a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, I've always loved education. With corporate background I have excellent grammatical and communication skills. In the corporations in which I worked, I wrote training manuals and trained and counseled managers and supervisors. During the past 8 years I have tutored students in math, psychology, spatial orientation, writing and reading. I also work with the Feurstein MLE program.
I enjoy teaching children of all ages, particularly on a one-to-one basis. In addition, I learn from the children. I believe a child learns best through individual attention and the opportunity to have those "aha" moments. People of all ages can meet and exceed their potential. My experience with tutoring children is that we have made a difference in each other's lives.

A Little Bit About Me...

Every person can learn, including a tutor. Helping someone find the best method of gaining knowledge takes investigation and intuition on the teacher's part. Together, you can begin a journey to reaching whatever goal you set. I believe I can be a creative guide along that path. I believe in hands on teaching wherever possible. Learning is more that just rote memorization. It is the developing of a quest to broaden horizons, a thirst for new adventures, the conquering of giants. I try to make learning an experience, not just grades.
I began tutoring in the sixth grade. We did not have honor courses where I attended, so older students tutored younger students. In college I tutored many subjects to earn money for my tuition.
