A graduate of Berklee College of Music in Contemporary Writing and Production, I used my AP-level English background to tutor international students at the college in English reading, writing, and speaking. Throughout my education, I have continually excelled in my English courses, studying everything from the classics to modern styles. My father had a piano rebuilding shop and I worked for him begining at age 12, in every aspect of piano rebuilding, regulating and tuning. Do I need to say more? Over 40 years of working on pianos is more than most piano tuners have. I don't use tuning machines, God already gave me 2 on each side of my head that work much better. I could write a long paragraph of blah blah trying to impress you but over 40 years of pianos says it all.
I have been a professional musician since 1978, teaching other musicians theory, performance etc. What can I say? I grew up in a music store! I've taught guitar, bass guitar, piano, drums and piano technology. Most of my students are now professional musicians. I don't use any techniques out of any book, each person is different and their needs are also.

While earning my M.F.A. I took an advanced course in the pedagogy of teaching writing, which focused on the teaching of remedial writers. I worked in the university's Writing Center as a consultant while also teaching a first-year composition course, and went on, after earning my degree, to teach college writing full time. At the Writing Center, I worked one-on-one with students to improve papers assigned for subjects as diverse as Biology, Economics, and Dancing.
