As I read the example noted below, I hear an echo, YES, I too love to teach. I see myself as a mentor. Listening and watching how people learn, what they need to know and formulate the best way to establish a program to achieve their goals. Each individual possesses their way of learning that may be derived from their environment, culture, family or a combination. Whenever possible I try to use diverse medias to experience topics from various views stressing constant feedback to assure comprehension is taking place. More About This Tutor...

I began my teaching career in Cooperstown, NY in 2001, as a mid-career professional in search of a meaningful job. Previously, I worked in the entertainment industry. Seeking to make a difference in the lives of our children, I moved to Los Angeles to teach English to the children of Latino immigrants. It was the highlight of my teaching profession. Subsequently, my husband and I relocated to NY state where I have been teaching high school (all subjects) to emotionally challenged adolescent students. I have taught and tutored most academic subjects.
I teach to my students so they can learn. Each of my students has a different modality of acquiring and retaining information, so I assess that style and present instruction in a way that is meaningful.
