I have always looked at teaching as a learning process for which the objective is not only learning for students but also learning for the teacher. A great teacher is one helps the students see how these theories can be at least partially verified through life experience. I have often felt that the ultimate purpose of education should not be a mere accumulation of knowledge. Therefore, as a teacher, I believe my job has several aspects: teach students how to think instead of what to think. teach students how to process and digest as opposed to memorize, store, and display information.

I think that not any person can teach. Because, teaching is not only delievering the scientific information to the student; it supports the students with self estem and confidence and help them achieve their educational and personal goals. An effective teacher is the teacher who enjoy teaching and makes the student enjoy learning, and who knew that the children pass in many developmentall, cognitive, emotional, physical, and social stages, and who tries to understand these changes in every age.
I am a graduate student working on my masters degree in education. I am highly motivated to teach divere students of all ages and students from all cultures. Teaching for me is something I love as one of my children because I enjoy watching students learn.

I have two teenage sons, both of whom I have tutored through pre-AP Algebra, the oldest is in pre-Calculus this year. I tend to take a holistic approach, showing "why" the student needs to know the material, and "where" it fits in with other disciplines, instead of just "how" to do it.
When I was in high school, I decided upon attending Oklahoma State University, based upon the fact that OSU sponsored a high school scholastic competition, whereas OU was only known for football. If that does not make me boring enough, I represented my school and placed 8th in the state for Algebra. Not too bad for a small middle-class parochial school. Naturally enough, I was the best at my school. When I finally went to OSU, I studied Electrical Engineering, obtaining a Master's degree. How did I get to Texas? -- Texas Instruments of course!
