Create/Implement lesson plans/student lEP's per state mandates SYETP(Summer Youth Employment Training Program)taught job readiness skills I worked as a Teaching Assistant with Intense Management needs program. Due to the student enrollment we actually had 1 certified teacher with 2 Teaching Assistants and one Teacher Aide. For the last 8 yrs while employed within the education field, I worked in this position.I was considered the teacher for 6-12 of the special needs students with both behavior and learning Disabilities. Writing lesson plans, grading and evaluating my students academics and ensuring they met NYS Education requirements for graduation with 5 of them getting a high school diploma the first year I taught as the teacher.

After receiving my bachelor's degree, I went to school part time to work on my Master's degree while subbing in area schools. I accepted a position as a teaching assistant, and two long term positions. I also tutored a junior high school student in all subjects.

I have worked with children from grades K-9; primarily focusing on children in grades K-6. Over the past few years, I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with children of diverse groups, including those students with disabilities, those students performing at grade level, and those students who were performing above grade level as well. I now hold three New York State Certifications, and a masters degree in teaching. My certifications are childhood education 1-6, Special Education 1-6, and Literacy B-6.
