Throughout my studies I have learned that all students learn differently. When teaching in a classroom, I will have to discover the way each student learns individually. An important aspect of my teaching experience has been to get down on that students level, and look at the struggles each student has in the classroom. I modify lessons in order to have each student adapt them to his or her own learning style. I believe that each student is willing to learn, but needs to discover the best learning style suitable to their abilities.

Teach a man to fish...is for life. Tutoring is the same, especially with younger children. I haven't met a student yet who is unable to learn. My job is to find the method that will best enable students to self-actualize their learning. A success is converting the child's approach and passion for learning. If I helped to change the child's mind about learning, I have literally altered the course of his/her life in a positive way.
I have a versatile background that began with two business degrees and progressed to a professional career in purchasing and sales. As a non-traditional student, my college experience awarded me many advantages, as well as, many opportunities to uncover hidden skills. I began tutoring for Student Support Services while attending community college in Southwest Virginia. I worked with adults, disabled and traditional students in many subject areas. This led to establishing the Eagle's Wing Mentoring Program while attending Florida Gulf Coast University for the first two years.
