Art and Graphic Design Tutor!

I have a BFA in Graphic Design from OSU. I am proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Dreamweaver. My Emphasis was in Illustration and studied traditional art forms in college as well. I have been tutored myself from age 8 and on into high school where I took various advanced drawing and painting courses. I can draw in charcoal, pencil, pen and ink and paint in colored pencil, chalk pastel, oil pastel, watercolor and acrylic. I also am versed in Art History and the origin of many techniques. My comments on tutoring Drawing : Currently a middle school art teacher

I'm an experienced graphic artist. I graduated from OSU in 2006 and still design for several clients. I was the only in-house graphic designer for America's Incredible Pizza Company. The operations office was located here in Tulsa; it closed in 2010 but continued to work for the company from home. I also held a position with Bullseye Database Marketing which designs primarily bank letters and stationary. The work from both companies was widely contrasted, so I feel that I have a wide range of experience in the design world. Very familiar with the printing process and how that system works after you've designed a piece. Very helpful to know before you start designing a piece so that you can keep production in mind. After receiving a BS in Education from Illinois State University in 1997, I began teaching all subjects in grades K - 8 in the greater Chicago area over the course of 6 years (Fall 1998 - Spring 2005). After relocating to Delaware in 2005 I began full time substitute teaching in public schools, juvenile detention / rehabilitation facilities and part time tutoring (after school). A Little Bit About Me...

I began as an education major at the University of Central Oklahoma before switching to Oklahoma Baptist University. I have worked with children in a professional setting since 2004 in church, non profit, daycare, early childhood, and preschool settings. I value education and find it to be a crucial and vital part of child development. I have tutored autistic students, as well as taught preschool for 14 months both at Saint Dunstans Preschool and Holland Hall College Preparatory School.
I believe teaching is about learning instead of the outcome. I practice "learning by doing" where they create their own style and way of accomplishing the task based on age appropriate methods and ways that work for them. It is not about the final product, but rather how they get to the proposed finish. Kids will go as far as you push them and typically exceed ones expectations.

While in an administrative position at Bethel College I earned both my Bachelor degree and my Masters in Education, both focusing on Administration.
