I believe everyone has a gift from God. My gift is working with children, it brings joy and peace to my heart.I have a passion for working with children who really can not help themselves because they are either lost, not motivated, or scared.I just want to be an inspiration in their lives.
I am very patient and humble young lady. No child is the same as another, so therefore; they are unique in their very own way. In the summer time during my undergraduate career I worked as a camp counselor and coach in Colorado for children from the ages of 6-18. After completion of my BA I coached at my alma-mater. From there I decided to pursue my graduate education and took a scholarship in the althetic department at the University of Arkansas where I became an academic advisor for the football team for 4 years. In the summers during my graduate career I worked for Sylvan Learning centers. I began as an English teacher and filled in on Math when they were short handed. All through school I have had a passion for learning. This passion continued into college where I earned two degrees from Columbia College. While earning two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Dance and Religion, I have gained knowledge in critical thinking through applying learning to life, English and grammar through writing papers and reports, and many daily skills acquired through general education courses.
