A Little Bit About Me...

My tutoring experience started while I was attending Valencia Community College, prior to my medical school training. To date, I have received my BS in Health Sciences and my Doctorate of Medicine degree. One thing I always stood behind is education; I was told that education is the one thing no one can take away from you. This is why I believe in guiding students and helping them when they need help the most. My education has helped me be strong in many areas of Mathematics and Sciences. Science has forever been my passion but mathematics has always been my love which is why I have tutored both mathematics and sciences. I have over 200 hours of classroom observation and teaching time. I have been an afterschool supervisor/leader at an inner city elementary school. I have also subsitute taught in a public school classroom. I was also the president of the TRIPLE E elementary education club at my college. I was also a leader at AWANA (a children's program). In addition to the classroom experience I have, I have also written numerous Units and/or lesson plans to teach in classrooms.
I am a kinesthetic learner, so I enjoy teaching in a very approachable, hands on kind of way. I realize every student is not that kind of learner, however, yet I try to make learning the subject at hand enjoyable and something that will be remembered not just for a test, but for life, in the student.
