A Little Bit About Me...

My education at NYU and my Bachelor of Science degree, gave me a solid foundation because I had the knowledge and confidence upon which to build my teaching career. The classes and student teaching experience exposed me to a wide range of teaching styles and demographics. After having my own family, my empathy and understanding of children increased in a positive way. I especially have enjoyed working with the developmentally disabled hand have helped them achieve goals that once seemed impossible to obtain. My people skills have kept me available to keep an open line of communication between the school and the family.

I love teaching and working with all children. I believe all children can learn, but each in different ways. I am a firm believer in teaching through discovery and in providing a creative approach to learning that appeals to all styles of learning. Growing up I dealt with dyslexia. I understand that each and every kid has a different learning style and not one style is better then the rest. My goal is to make learning as much fun as possible by pin-pointing the learning style of the student and finding ways to make learning more interesting. My most important goal is to teach children that everyone has the skills to excel and that learning can be fun.
