A life-long learner first, an educator next

I am a retired college educator with 33 years of experience teaching all-levels Spanish, Latino culture studies, and the literature of both Spain and Latin America. I have excellent bilingual (Spanish/English) written and oral communication skills with extensive experience in academic writing, proof-reading and editing in both languages I am also a teacher-training specialist. From 1990 until retirement in 2012, I equipped students to be Spanish teachers. Presently, former students are educators in Texas, New Mexico, and Washington while others teach abroad. College Teacher Tutoring Math, Economics Accounting TestPrep

As a student I was always helping my friends and brothers with their school work, especially math. While in graduate school working on my Masters degree I tutored for the athletic department and even tutored some of my classmates who were college professors working on their PhD's. I have been a college teacher for more than 5 years and started doing private tutoring over 2 years ago.
Teaching style varies by student and by subject, and even varies according to my level of skill in the subject matter. I have been told that I make things that are confusing or hard to understand easy, and I love that 'I see' look in a student's eyes.

Enthusiastic Tutor looking to assist you

I am proficient in tutoring English and any Language Arts area. I am also a journalist in my career, and would love to help anyone who is needing a little push.
