My most recent experience in teaching would be the year I spent in Seoul, South Korea. I began as a teacher and was soon the head teacher of the Kindergarten programs. Our kindergarten programs were a full day and full immersion for the students. I taught the middle school afternoon programs from ages 6-14 and at every level as well as in every subject. My most advanced students were fluent and therefore studied intensive subjects such as science, political history, geography and several others. We most intensely worked on writing and reading. I have a good report with teenagers, and I find that that is what allows me to reach out to students and help them succeed. As a teacher and tutor, I try to explain concepts in several different ways so that my students can find the best way to remember or understand what they are studying. By getting to know a particular student, I also get to know their learning style. I believe in involving the student as much as possible in the tutoring process, instead of merely talking at him or her.
