A Little Bit About Me...

I have two bachelors degrees, however, I believe it is my experience teaching children that has helped me develop a good sense on how to approaching teaching scenarios. I have years of experience teaching children in academics, music, and dramatic arts, as well as coaching basketball and teaching golf at the professional level.
Each child is different. I always try to notice and acknowledge what benefits each student, as I think this applies to all forms of teaching from academics to athletics. Getting on their level is what ultimately benefits the child from the get go and gains their interest. If I'm interested, then the child is interested. I do my best to make sure the child is setting their goals and doing their best to achieve them in the way and style for which they are best suited.

I am a graduate of Western Carolina University, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Education for the field of instrumental music. I have experience with teaching at two middle schools and one high school as a part of my student teaching assignment. Also, I have 5 years experience teaching marching band at several high schools as an adjunct staff member teaching music and marching fundamentals. I also have acquired a great deal of experience in general English, grammar, and writing through my advance placement courses in high school, as well as the research papers and reports required for my music history, as well as my education courses.
