My comments on tutoring Hearing Impaired : basic/elementary level understanding of ASL American sign language

positive reinforcement. I enjoy organizational charts and calendars to keep schedules. I take a multisensory approach to learning. For students without severe disabilities this could include incorporating visuals and graphics to teach lessons

I am only 19 and i graduated class of 2011. I've had a lot of help when i was in school so i know it can be stressful and tough but i found it a lot easier when i got help from people. Kids may be shy or maybe they just find the work is to hard and there scared to get help but i'm easy and outgoing i don't force kids to do there work. It takes time for them to understand how to work things out how to talk to teachers.

My experience has been that if a child, youth, or adult is given the space in which to learn, and introduced to material in a patient manner, in the style that works for them (be that through explanation or visual learning, etc) they will take the initiative to learn and grow at the pace and direction which works for them.
