My comments on tutoring Biology : I have a masters in Nutrition

I’m Lebanese which makes me fluent in Arabic, French and English. I hold a masters degree and several certificates in Nutrition. My background may not be in teaching or languages but there is no better way to learn a language than from a native! In my high school years we took Arabic courses every week for 12 years. My teaching style is very interactive. I believe in reading out-loud and having discussions about what things mean and how they may relate to other aspects of Biology. I believe that everyone has a different learning style and I will always try to find new ways of getting the point across to someone. The reason I chose to go to school for my teaching certificate is that I've always been passionate about learning. I think the best teachers are excited to constantly learn new things. My teaching style is hands-on as often as possible. Students remember very little information taught to them in a lecture format. A Little Bit About Me...

For as long as I can remember I have loved to learn. Through college I tutored in psychology, english, the arts, statistical math, and certain classifications of sciences. My favorites were psychology and english because of the freedom you can give due to interpretaional material.
As a psychology major I was fascinated with how the mind works in all arenas. I learned the various methodologies used in teaching people and found in my tutoring that finding a way to present even the most difficult material in a manner to make it understandable is greatly satisfying. Through tutoring and teaching others I gained a higher comprehension of the material at hand and learned more about both myself and people in general.
