When lecturing in an auditorium to two hundred freshmen, I had to keep to my lecture notes and prepared demonstrations, depending on the students’ initiative to ask the TA’s in the recitation sections about any difficulties. In a smaller class I could engage the students more, still keeping on topic but asking questions of the students and encouraging their questions. As a supervisor and trainer in the military, it was my responsibility to train the new individuals that came into the job. There was a lot of studying material that I constantly had to sit down and go over with them. We made flashcards, took notes, made up quizzes, did verbal question and answers, etc. I actually used to tutor math in High School when I was in an advanced Calculus class and have helped many friends with their college math.
