For over 10 years working as an Outreach Specialist for American Deaf Exposition, I travelled nationwide educating the public about resources that were available to the general public. A Little Bit About Me...

As a person with an inquiring mind, I have spend many years learning how students learn. I taught math at the high school level for five years in Florida, as well as one year in North Carolina. In addition, I have taught students with severe disabilites, and students in all subjects at the elementary level. Always interesting in continuing to learn, I have attended numerous workshops on how students learn. In addition, I was a contributing author to the Algebra Project with the University of Central Florida from 2000-2003. At this point in my live, I teach at the college level--College Algebra and remedial math. I also currently facilitate instructor trainings for the univeristy for which I am employed.

I am an honors graduate with a degree in Special Education and dual certification in Elementary Education. I am currently working toward a masters degree in learning and technology. My teaching experience prior to entering public education included teaching in an international school (Qingdao, China)and teaching in private schools in the United States.
