After graduating from Clyde High school, I went on to Ohio State Mansfield, where I majored in psychology and special education. I am currently a full time student at Ashford University online. I am studying to become an advocate for special needs persons and children. I have been tutoring students professtionally for the past year. I specialize in reading and math. I am graduating in May,2010. I have been tutoring for more than two years at the Bowling Green State University Firelands College. I have tutored many subjects including Accounting, Finance, Economics,Statistics, Microsoft Word, Excel and many other business classes. I knew after taking a couple of courses when I went back to graduate school in 2003 that I wanted to go into teaching, at least on a part time basis. My daughter is an elementary school teacher, and I felt that I had an influence on her choice of a major. I enjoy seeing students learn. The entire time of seeing them with their first class in accounting until their last class is a fun ride for me. Just seeing their increase in their level of knowledge is a wonderful feeling. The best part of my year is graduation day, when I see students that I taught at least once class graduate. I feel that I was a part of it and that I had a positive affect on their life in at least some way.
