I am a passionate, driven, ambitious learner and teacher. I graduated Valedictorian of my High School with a 4.0 GPA and Summa Cum Laude from College with 191 credits and a GPA of 3.92. I completed a double major and the Honors Program as well as two semesters studying abroad in 5 years of undergraduate study. I have tutored and coached in a variety of settings and have experience with many learning styles and levels of achievement. I have enjoyed teaching for many years. My honors-level undergraduate courses led me to a lot of reading and writing --and to serve as a teaching assistant in ethics for five semesters. Since I also love math and accounting, I was also hired to teach entry-level accounting courses. At work, I served as a beta tester for Excel and began teaching others to use it, as well. I now have thirteen years of experience in teaching accounting, besides two years of coaching college-level composition. I bring a lot of energy to the classroom and ensure that I am over-prepared for each lesson. I enjoy involving every student in a classroom setting and encourage an active, open learning environment. I also believe it is a very valuable experience to be able to work with students one-on-one. I like to work with each student to figure out his or her individual learning style and needs.
