A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is different for each student. I have never considered myself a student that things come easy to. I always had to find a way to relate to the material, and when I tutor that is exactly what I try to achieve with each student. Sometimes all it takes is it being explained one more time a different way.
As a graduate of the top chiropractic school in the world, I have achieved a high level of education. I have a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. While going to college at the UW – Eau Claire, I've been a math and statistics tutor for the past four years. I've also been a Teacher’s Assistant for a statistics Professor where my duties consisted of running review sessions for the class before quizzes and exams along with grading homework and exams. A Little Bit About Me...

When training employees, my teaching style has always been to learn by doing. I believe that people do best in learning a new task when one explains the task before doing, then shows how to do the task while explaining, and then asks the trainee to do the task with guidance. The same goes for teaching an academic subject - explain how it is done, show a couple of examples while explaining, and then ask them to try with guidance. If this method of teaching is not working for a particular student, I will adapt my teaching to fit his/her needs. I believe that every person has the ability to learn any subject; one just needs to find the method in order to keep them interested and absorbing information.

Every student is unique and has different ways of doing things. In a swimming pool, you can see physical improvements in technique which ultimately improves performance. In teaching, it is different. It is sometimes very difficult to see the "light bulb" go on when a student finally grasps a new concept. I take different approaches in different situation to help students achieve results.
