I have subbed from ages of preschool to high school in various class from music, social studies, science, English, Spanish, etc. I tutor for students in elementary school and in college. The subjects I tutored in were: English, Psychology, Mass Media, and lower levels math, reading, etc. I also taught music to students such as: beginners in piano, flute, and voice. Prior to changing my undergraduate major to Geography, I was an elementary education major. I have always enjoyed working with students; however, at the time I wanted to try something different and is how I ended up working as a Park Ranger for the National Park Service (NPS). My experiences with NPS have allowed me to teach in an informal setting, by educating the public about their national parks. I also have the opportunity to present curriculum based education programs in grades K-5 about different aspects in NPS. My experiences have also pushed me to start a Masters of Science degree in Biology to further my knowledge. While I was an undergraduate, I was also a teaching assistant for physical geography labs.
