I have a Bachelor's degree in History and an Associate's in Process Technology. I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society. I possess excellent math skills and took statistics in college. I enjoy helping others and feel I am a good fit for this position.

As a tutor, I understand my responsibility primarily as that of helping children reach their potential. I try to help my students understand concepts they are struggling with in primarily three ways. First, I find what their strengths are and see if I can extend understanding of these concepts to the one's they are struggling with. Secondly, I use many examples of a concept to break complex math down into simpler, concise ideas and problem-solving techniques. Co-lead two Bible studies groups for one year; one of which was composed of students from a primarily Caucasian student fellowship as well as students from an all-Asian fellowship.
During my junior and senior year in college, I TA’ed a finance class called options pricing for two semesters. Options pricing was a difficult subject.
