I'm a recent graduate so I'm very fresh and up to date on technical skills as well as trending design. I've mentored many of my peers at school as I like to help my friends and they seek me out because of my reputation as a good designer. I still get called back to help even though I've since graduated. The best help I can offer is art direction as far as finishing pieces and preparing a body of work for your portfolio. My technical expertise is in Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop, in that order. I'm also able to help with web design, CSS3 and HTML5.

My policy is to always find out what my tutees' needs are, so I often will ask questions to determine what s/he wants to get out of our lessons together and how I can best provide it. One thing that I bring to the table that native Japanese speakers may not is experience in struggling with the language.
