Experience Summary
My experience in Morocco as a commercial -law teacher’s assistant has improved by teaching of Arabic and French language to non-speakers. I learned that a key factor for achieving n assessment of the material taught as well as the audience is critical to the success of teaching. I also learned that is so important to create a rich environment that motivates the student’s desire and excitement for the material taught.
I taught for more than 10 years French, Arabic, as well as commercial law. I also taught for more than 6 years French and Arabic in the United States.
Teaching Style
In regard to the method, I learned that each student has his or her own way to assimilate new material. This is why I try to create a balanced between a collaborative communication, audio- visual scenes, traditional class participation, and logical organization of the material. In regard to the foreign language, I saw that creating a real life situation in class make the student more involved and willing to make the effort to speak. In the meantime, I always insert a grammar rule as part of a reading and speaking of a certain subject. I found students are more receivable to this method as opposed to just lecturing grammar rule. I also found that they found it easier to remembering these rules by referring to the subject read or spoken. During this part, the grammar rules are explained, examples from the reading material are used, and students are encouraged to engage in an active discussion. Another example is the audio-visual method, which I found really important for students to learn new words and use them easily.
My Hobbies
Reading, Swimming, Soccer,cooking, and traveling.
