There are many arrays of learning styles. I personally use visually, writing, and seeing the bigger picture. I also want them to see the connection between the more elementary levels of mathematics and the more abstact higher levels. Throughout my college years, I was involved in coaching high school aged students in baseball as well as younger kids in a baseball camp.
