I tutored my high school peers informally (without pay) as the President of the English Club at Guthrie Public High School, but I have recently started tutoring middle grade children as well as high school students. I scored a 31 on my ACT, was awarded the Smithsonian English Award, and I am currently enrolled at the University of Central Oklahoma as a Creative Writing major. My tutoring subjects include English, Reading, Writing Skills, and Study Skills for middle grade children. I also tutor for high school students and college students who need help writing essays, research papers, or preparing for the English and Reading sections of the ACT.
I like to bring worksheets and activities to keep the lessons interesting. I also prefer to assign homework, creative writing prompts, and spelling quizzes to improve writing composition and reading comprehension.

I have a degree in biology. I was planning on going to medical school at one point so I focused on human anatomy and human physiology. I also took advanced mammalian physiology 1 and 2 for graduate credit. I made A's in all of these courses. I took an aquatic entomology course one summer and decided to focus more on ecology and zoology. My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : I took a few creative writing classes in high school and college. I can help with short stories, poems, etc. I can teach to write or help study.

Everyone is an expert at something. I happen to be an expert writer. I know the people I help learn to read and/or write are experts at something. A Little Bit About Me...

I currently have a bachelors degree in sociology with a minor in elementary education.
