I've been doing sign language for 18 years, I have a brother and sister who are deaf and thats how I became skilled. I enjoy doing sign language and tutoring people who are willing to learn it. I've taught other family members,friends,even students from school. Whenever someone notices me doing sign language they always come near me and ask me to teach them. I sign very fluently, many people think I am deaf because they see how fast I sign. I am always willing to meet new people and share my skills with them. Its always fun to learn new things.

Experienced American Sign Language Tutor

I have 15+ years experience, as i was raised as a coda child in an all deaf family. I also have an extensive background in deaf culture, facial and body expressions, it is one of my most favorite part of the course to teach and learn. I am also starting my BA to become a Sign Language interpreter in spring 2015.
One on one, or groups. I can use flash cards, reading material, tests, and also fun and creative ways like games to test your knowledge and proficency. I can also bring in guests to help with conversational sign language. And lastly, using your face and body in new ways to express what you are feeling.

It is best to learn sign language in person. Signs are done from the hands and facial expressions and is best learned in person.
Being a CODA, child of deaf adults, has allowed me to be fluent in mine and my parent's native language of American Sign Language.
