I thoroughly enjoy teaching students at various ages and stages of development. I consider myself to be very creative, and I try to give the students as much hands-on experience as possible. I am constantly seeking feedback from the student in terms of how well I am presenting the subject matter, so my methods of teaching will vary. I am always open to new ideas. Failure is not a word in my teaching vocabulary. I will always find a way to reach and teach my student in such a way that learning and application are maximized.

I have just recently started to pursue my doctoral degree in educational leadership at University of Phoneix. I have always had a passion for mentoring, teaching, and advising young people. I have had tons of experience working with youth and mentoring them. At age 18, I even started a youth outreach ministry called Serenity Ambassadors for Christ reaching at risk teenagers through music and biblical teaching. At the same time, I was teaching and advising youth at my church and surrounding areas. I earned my Masters Degree in Theology and Counseling in May 2008 at Oral Roberts University.

A Little Bit About Me...

My experience with teaching and tutoring students is two-fold. I have received my BA in English from Liberty University and am in the process of earning a MA from the same institution. As an English student, I have a good working knowledge of grammar and composition, as well as excellent reading and comprehension skills, and I have tutored students in biology and math. I am working as a GSA (Graduate Student Assistant)as I pursue my Masters, and this position has allowed me to cover classes and work with students on a one-on-one basis. In addition to the time I have spent with these student, I have four years of experience teaching dance classes, and I work well with several age groups.
