Marketing is one of my top subjects! I have worked in the marketing industry for a while now. I have not had any actual schooling in the subject but in my experience what you learn from the book is nothing compared to the hands on experience.

My teaching style is a little bit outside of traditional. I believe in a more hands on approach not just say " Read this and lets see where you are tomorrow." People respond a lot better to this approach as opposed to homework or lessons that make no sense.
I don't have any formal training like college or anything. Every bit of my experience is real world experience from working in the field. I believe that hands on or real world experience is much more efficient compared to book knowledge. A book can only tell you a thing or two that might work. I know what will work.

I am a pre-med student at MTSU, and I will be graduating with a second degree in Science this year. I have experience tutoring grade school students in math and reading subjects. I also have experience teaching college students in science subjects. Before attending MTSU, I was a professional ballroom dancer and instructor for five years. I have experience teaching ballroom dancing to children as young as five and adults as young as 70!

While in college, I have worked with numerous tutoring programs both paid and volunteering. I worked for two years as a tutor mentor for the Upward Bound Program, where I managed a group of 12 college students that tutored and mentored 75 low-income and first generation students in grades 9-12. Also while in college, I have have had the opportunity to work closely with numerous Metro Public Schools around the Nashville area. Currently I am working with the Martha O'Bryan Center at a Reading Achievement Program Tutor.
I believe that each child has its own learning style, therefore as a tutor you must be able to adapt quickly to the specific needs to every child. Once I have an idea of his/her personality and learning style, I adjust my tutoring methods to fit the needs of that particular tutee. So for example, if a student is an auditory learner I try to involve more tutoring processes in which he/she listens in order to learn the information.
