Marketing is one of my top subjects! I have worked in the marketing industry for a while now. I have not had any actual schooling in the subject but in my experience what you learn from the book is nothing compared to the hands on experience.

I don't have any formal training like college or anything. Every bit of my experience is real world experience from working in the field. I believe that hands on or real world experience is much more efficient compared to book knowledge. A book can only tell you a thing or two that might work. I know what will work.
My teaching style is a little bit outside of traditional. I believe in a more hands on approach not just say " Read this and lets see where you are tomorrow." People respond a lot better to this approach as opposed to homework or lessons that make no sense.

Once I have an idea of his/her personality and learning style, I adjust my tutoring methods to fit the needs of that particular tutee. So for example, if a student is an auditory learner I try to involve more tutoring processes in which he/she listens in order to learn the information. I became the Language Training Director for a language services company. While in college, I have worked with numerous tutoring programs both paid and volunteering. I worked for two years as a tutor mentor for the Upward Bound Program, where I managed a group of 12 college students that tutored and mentored 75 low-income and first generation students in grades 9-12. Also while in college, I have have had the opportunity to work closely with numerous Metro Public Schools around the Nashville area.
