My comments on tutoring Elementary Phonics : certification in k-12 education

graduated in 2012 form SCSU in special education k-12 with a psychology minor. Hands-on, smiles-on!

Hey! My names Bethy! I'm 13 years old and in 8th grade. I've been tutoring since I was in 5th grade. I can tutor all ages in almost any subject. Last year I had the highest GPA in my whole school! I taught summer school for one summer in the Title I program at Chestnut St. School in West Hempstead. I taught adult education (real estate course) in West Hempstead. I was a substitute teacher in the West Hempstead school district for 5 years.
I use word games, flash cards and drill. I love working with the little ones as they are enthusiastic and show the most progress. Some youngsters need more visual stimulation. Games are a great motivator, as the children are learning without feeling that they are doing school work.
