Inspiring young people is what I do best. However, different methods are to be used for different individuals. Some students require a more incremental approach, covering material at a slower pace or more than once. Other students learn quicker and get frustrated if things are repeated. My job is to adapt to the particular individual and use the method that facilitates best learning. A generic approach that I always use is systemic: (1) provide or cover an overview of a particular topic and (2) dive deep into the details or substance of the material. I recently graduated cum laude from the University of Rhode Island with two Bachelors of Science in Marine Geology and Maritime Law. I teach sailing and environmental education in the summers.
