A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently a substitute teacher specializing in math, science, history, English, and German with the company, 'Substitute Teachers Unlimited,' which employs me throughout the greater Phoenix area. I am also a professional actor, voiceover artist, actor/teacher, and yoga instructor! In high school, I took a great deal of Honors and AP classes, including assorted math classes, AP-German, AP-American Politics and Government, and AP-World Literature. I received my BFA in dramatic performance from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music, and I continued my more academic studies with a focus in computer science, taking such classes as physics, Statistics, HTML, C, and C++. I enjoy making mathematics understandable to anyone. Often times I work with students who are overwhelmed by mathematics “foreign language” and are just about to give up. I do not take this threat lightly. Fortunately, I am able to communicate effectively and provide them with the tools to they need to be successful. Most of the time, it is the mode of communication, not the difficulty of the lesson, that is preventing them from comprehending the topic. I believe that my strong interpersonal skills are one of my best assets and greatly enhance my ability to teach difficult topics.
My interests and abilities in mathematics, physics, soccer, cycling, and triathlon is a result of developing in a gender-free environment.
