A Little Bit About Me...

I always begin a class with in upbeat, fun atmosphere. I sometimes have powerful, familiar music playing when my students walk into the classroom. (Other students walking by in the hall frequently stop by to see what's going on!) I have a collection of toys and noisemakers that I use in the classroom. A Little Bit About Me...

As a writer, I have a great passion for the English language. I have experience in both literature and writing through my Bachelor's degree. I am currently an MA candidate in a Creative Writing program. As an undergraduate, I minored in Studio Art. I have been a church organist for the last 8 years. I have played the organ for 17 years. I also play the clarinet and saxophone (12 years). I have a firm grasp of music theory.
I believe that students can educate teachers just as well as teachers can educate students. I try to remain on-the-level with students in order to make them comfortable. I am very animated; yet, at the same time, I know how to get my information across. I try to be a fun and creative person, and I strive to get that across to students.
