I tutored for Mission: Mentor while I attended Georgia State Universtity for 3 years. I was awarded Mentor of the Year in 2006 at Georgia State University. When I continued my education at Augusta State University, I volunteered as a mentor at the ASU Literacy Center helping children of all ages.
I love teaching children. For the younger children, I tend to be more hands on with projects and objects to help them learn. I also believe visual aids are very good. For middle school children learning math and English, I feel like giving them lots of practice problems and going over it together really seems to help.
