When lecturing in an auditorium to two hundred freshmen, I had to keep to my lecture notes and prepared demonstrations, depending on the students’ initiative to ask the TA’s in the recitation sections about any difficulties. In a smaller class I could engage the students more, still keeping on topic but asking questions of the students and encouraging their questions. At Washington State Unviersity I worked as a teaching assistent from Aug 2003 to May 2004. I Conducted laboratories and tutored students for algebra-based introductory physics courses. I also worked as a Physics instructor in India for 6 months and taught ungergraduate level Solid State Physics and Electrodynamics
I have always enjoyed tutoring students. I believe that in order to excel in any subject you have to be strong in the fundamentals of the subject.
