Teaching confidence through kindness and success

I taught high school social studies for 26 years at Tates Creek High School, primarily as a psychology teacher. I also taught a year at Tates Creek Middle School in the areas of Citizenship and American History. Since retiring, I spent five years as a substitute teacher in the Fayette County system, teaching everything in the areas of math, science, social studies, English and also in a variety of elective studies- from creative writing to geometry and history to earth science. I have been tutoring students of all ages since I was in high school. I began by tutoring my own peers in math and social studies. I would also tutor children from 1st grade on up in all subjects. Once in college, I tutored college students and younger in many fields, primarily mathematics courses. I've worked with many high schoolers and even college students taking French. I've helped them build vocabulary and exercise speaking with a native French speaker.
