I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, in 1989. Since graduation I have worked as both a full-time teacher and a substitute teacher. I have taught full-time at five different traditional schools and Florida Virtual School. I started out volunteering at my children's Mother's Day Out Program where I taught very young children and nurtured them to learn that it was OK for mom to leave because she always came back. We had circle time, learned the basics, how to share, give, receive, pray, hug and make friends. From there I graduated to a more formal training i.e. preschool, where I actually planned lessons and age appropriate curriculum. From there I progressed to substitute teaching elementary and secondary students.
