I have a Bachelors in English from Dominican University. I began A Plus Master Tutoring Center over 4 years ago and was teaching in my home. Now we have expanded to a center in Oak Park and we tutor all ages, from Pre-K to adults. Our subjects range from phonics to algebra. Our teaching styles vary from a 3:1 ratio, which would include up to three students and one tutor, or a 1:1 ratio which would be a private session with a student and a tutor. Physics is one of my top subjects! I earned my M.S. in Physics from Depaul University in 2012 and have been a full time instructor of physics, engineering and astronomy at Moraine Valley Community College ever since. While at Depaul I worked as a private tutor and had many satisfied students who saw a great increase in their grades. I am currently working on my M.S. in Science Education.

I like to make my approach to tutoring specific to each student. Most students simply need help with problem solving, and so I like to spend my hour or two a week with them working through homework problems (or problems which are similar) where I can determine their approach and try to enhance and improve upon it. Other students need me to re-explain everything they went over in class, and it becomes more of a Q&A session.
I earned my B.S. in physics from Loyola University in 2010 and my M.S. in physics from Depaul University in 2012. The Achievement Centers, our after school tutorial/diagnostic clinic and before and after school care, is available for all ages and subjects. Tutoring and diagnostic testing is available after school, evenings (Monday – Friday) and Saturday mornings. The clinic is available year-round.
