I have been an instructor at Rice University, and I have been a substitute teacher for the Toms River (NJ) school system. I have undergraduate degrees in history and journalism as well as graduate degrees in history. I have also worked in the public history field as a museum interpreter and educator. The key to successful teaching is to make it fun! I have a law degree, but most of my experience comes from working with my own kids and spending hundreds of hours volunteering at their schools helping other children.
