ACT, SAT and Math Tutoring from a top student

I prefer to work with motivated students. I enjoy one on one tutoring best, but I can work in a group setting. I think I am best at explaining concepts verbally. Particularly when I tutor math, I like to explain the reasoning and concepts behind what I am teaching, rather than encouraging rote memorization. For SAT and ACT prep, I think it is primarily a matter of explaining the structure of the test and teaching ways to address different questions. The content is important and I can teach that as well, but the key to high scores is familiarity with the layout of the test.
I have tutored in math from 6th through 12th grade previously. I have a 4.5600 GPA and have often helped my fellow students. I have tutored my friend's brother in various subjects, and have been able to work with his ADHD. I entered Virginia Tech as an honors math and physics student and graduated in three years with my BS in physics. At the moment I am trying to decide if I would like to go to grad school to continue on to something else, hopefully with math and physic as at least peripherally relevant. I have never taught a class and have tutored in only in a limited capacity. I however was apart of Virginia Tech's first Physics education class and program and found that I really actually enjoy teaching for teaching's sake. Hands on, and more of an application study. I believe that the only way to actually understand something is being able to apply it to real world situations.
My experience is all in college. I had 9 Labs in college in all my science courses. I excelled very well in my science courses and i keep learning. Did great in my research project class.
