Once while subbing, I entered a classroom where the students had been allowed to watch Jerry Springer on TV for the last two weeks. I couldn't let this continue, but I saw how emotional the class was about the show. I encouraged them to write their own talk show and told them we would perform it the next day. I find that connecting student's interest with the subject matter to be learned is the best way to teach.
After completing my undergraduate degree in English Literature at Florida State University, I worked as a substitute teacher in Hillsborough County for two years. In 2009, I completed my Master's Degree in Communication at University of South Florida while simultaneously employed at the Department of Special Education. I have been tutoring with Advanced Learners for 1 year and am currently an Adjunct Instructor of Public Speaking at HCC Dale Mabry.

I was selected to teach intensive intervention and pursued my Master’s degree with a concentration in remedial reading. Good High school student looking to make money,

I am a high schooler with good grades. I help many of my friends, and even their younger siblings with their school work. because im saving up for a car, i figure it would be smart for me to make a business out of it and make money to put towards my car. my current GPA is 3.8. i am currently enrolled in almost all AP classes, and a technical education class, along with a early child care class where we have a real preschoolers where toddlers go to school there. my current transportation is my mother, who is more than willing to go as long as its not too far.

I can teach any person, from children to adults, as long as they have the desire to learn. I give 110% to my classes and will help any person who wants the little extra to succeed. I beleive that any process is a building block and each time you perform a task you should be improving and adding to the task. For students who had phobias about public speaking, I worked on helping them overcome fears and succeed in composing and presenting a speech.
