Patients is a amazing thing to have when trying to teach. Many students learn at a different pace and I feel that finding that pace for every student is important. If you try to cram or learn something to quickly it only become heartache and bad grades.

While having no actual formal teaching experience I find that I am always finding teaching opportunities in everything I do. At Brigham Young University I started out in the Elementary Education Major and then switched to Sociology because I found it fascinating. however, I still focused my classes on education and cultural studies subjects. My trigonometry teacher had me substitute teach his college algebra and trigonometry courses for him while he away. This was some of the most satisfying work I have ever done. When a student finally understood what I was explaining it was like you could see the light come on in their head.
