I have a lot of experience in teaching and tutoring. I have tutored for about 10 years now, starting with my fellow classmates while still in school and now tutoring one-on-one, mostly for elementary-aged children. I also teach - I conduct a teenage choir, taught at a Ukrainian school for 7 years (grammar, writing, reading, vocabulary), and give individual piano lessons. I've received my Bachelor's in Elementary Education and have had some experience teaching all grades K-5. I am currently working on my Master's as a Teacher Leader, with an endorsement in ESL.

A Little Bit About Me...

I've worked with many high schoolers and even college students taking French. I've helped them build vocabulary and exercise speaking with a native French speaker. I've helped them mimic the sounds that I'm making and give them tactics and memorizing skills to remembering things that they're having a tough time with. In Social Studies I create rhymes to remember locations for Geography. I put the history lessons into a literal short story and give them tools to remember cetain events. I answer any questions they may have in dept and broken down so that they may better understand a certain situation.

Since being a young child, I've had a gift for languages and at age 14 I devoted myself to learning Spanish fluently. In high school and the university I attended I excelled in my Spanish classes to the point of even winning awards. For the past 7 years, due to my intense study, I've been able to, not only tutor Spanish to a variety of students, but also work for Fayette Co.
